How did you get into acting?
I have loved playing make believe for as long as I can remember. And now I’m over the moon that I get to do it for a living! My first play was The Wizard of Oz. I was in kindergarten, not technically old enough for the school play, but my sister was in it and my dad built the set, so I got to hang around and end up on set. And the rest, as they say, is history. I’m lucky that my parents and sister are incredibly supportive - they are so much of the reason I am where I am.
What do you like about the profession?
My job is literally playing. How awesome is that?! I love the chance to practice empathy and understanding in a deep way by stepping into a character’s shoes. And my most favorite part is the collaboration and the people I get to create with. I am in awe of them.
What was your favorite detail about the character Catherine?
I love her love for Clarke. That even when he’s doing something that frustrates her, she still is able to have a sense of humor and laugh with him. ALSO I got to wear hair extensions and that was very fun.
Do you share any similarities with Catherine? If yes, what are they?
I can be quite determined and steadfast. Mostly though, I have a lot of love in my heart, just like Catherine.
What are your upcoming projects?
I’ve got a short film coming up next month, and otherwise am staying open and excited for whatever else might pop up! I also would like to write and create some of my own stuff with some friends - we’ll see how that goes!
