Joey Heyworth

Meet the Cast
CLARKE

Joey Heyworth is an award winning British American stage and screen actor. His extensive professional training began with a B.F.A. in Theatre Arts from Boston University where he discovered his passion for physical storytelling. He continued training around the world with companies such as The Actors' Gymnasium, The Groundlings, Spin Circus Academy and Cirque Du Vol.

 

In 2016 he moved to Chicago and began focusing on screen work. Shortly after moving to LA in 2018, he made his feature film debut in James Lay's outlandish comedy The Other Side Of Infinity.

Caitlin Duffy

CATHERINE

Caitlin Duffy, a proud Vermonter, is so grateful to be a part of the A Gift For All Ages family and to get to know Borrego Springs a bit! Her film credits include My Best Friend’s Dead, The Tomorrow Job, Lyla (short), Chill (short) and Breach (short). She has worked with numerous theater companies, including Trinity Repertory Company, PTP/NYC, Theater at Monmouth and Centenary Stage Company. Caitlin was also fortunate to collaborate with many loved ones to create her own short film about a clown who goes on a big adventure to the unknown. Caitlin received her BA in Theater from Middlebury College and her MFA in Acting from Brown/Trinity Rep. She loves the holiday season!

Dylan Wright

HENRY

Dylan is an actor in Burbank, California with a BFA in Acting.  He loves creating with his beautiful wife, and most recently directed an original devised theatre piece loosely inspired by Ray Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451" entitled "Spindle and Flint".  He is the recipient of the Irene Ryan Regional National Finalist Award as well as the Irene Ryan Regional Classical Acting Award; He is the recipient of the National NAPAT Classical Acting Award.  He received a Kennedy Center National Award for "Distinguished Performance of an Actor in a Leading Role" for his performance of Arthur Roeder in D. W. Gregory's "Radium Girls".  His current project is a screenplay he is co-writing with his filmmaker brother about religious trauma, and while he thrives off of the deep, he also likes to take breaks from the drama by doing fun roles like Henry in "A Gift for All Ages".

Russell is a retired actor, director and theatrical technician who, after graduating from San Diego State and Portland State Colleges, worked in educational and regional theaters all over the country. Although a lifelong dream, this is his first sojourn into film making. A San Diego native, he currently lives in Borrego Springs with his rescue dog Gili Elohe ('G' for short).

Teddy

THEODORE

Teddy is a rescue, and deaf dog advocate. He stars in the award winning animal rescue documentary Flying Fur. In addition to long walk on the beach, napping, eating cookies,and hanging out with people, Teddy’s goal is to create awareness and education about deaf dogs, rescue and adoption.

Alicia Wszelaki

DIRECTOR/WRITER

Alicia is a visual creative who has been working in the media industry for over two decades. As a director, producer and editor, her passion is telling other people’s stories. Alicia lives in San Diego, California with her husband, and amazing rescue dog Teddy. She is part-owner of Path 88 Productions, which produces travel films and inspirational documentaries. She enjoys being outside and has walked both the Camino de Santiago, and Japan’s 88 Temples pilgrimages … twice.

Matthew Nothelfer

CINEMATOGRAPHER/WRITER

Matthew has directed documentary shorts, documentary feature films, narrative shorts, and narrative features. Over the past three decades his career has been spent mostly on the road. He has traveled to all continents on the globe as a photographer, videographer, and cinematographer. Matthew currently lives in Borrego Springs, California and is part-owner of the media company Path 88 Productions.

Fred has been a California state park ranger for 34 years. He was a Park Liaison for film projects in the Park during his tenure. He has been a film fan since his youth and has been able to translate that interest to action by starting the Borrego Springs Film Festival in 2010 and having the 1st event 2014. Now the 9th annual Film Festival is up coming in 2022.As a film liaison for the Park, he was recognized for his work in 2002  with a “ON LOCATIONS “award for  Public Employee of the Year by California Film Commission.

WARDROBE DESIGN/MANAGER

Some of Llouise’s first memories are of her sewing. She has created numerous costumes for the Borrego Springs Performing Arts Center. She enjoys taking a director’s vision and creating a wardrobe that is the essence of the productions topic, era, or event.

In her spare time Llouise enjoys reading history, and geography.

Lee has been a carpenter and artist for 30 years.
After attaining several degrees from the School of Hard Knocks, Lee has the skills to make filmmakers visions a reality.  He is drawn to productions that
have limited budgets where he can use his construction techniques to create the canvas that other artists build upon to produce a high quality visual experience.  Lee enjoys being able to infuse his talents to the enhancement of the production 
whether it's with his special effects, or that fact that he does his own stunts.  His favorite part is creating meaningful relationships with the
local he works with. 

Emma Croft

HAIR & MAKE UP

Emma has enjoyed an international career working predominantly in film and television, heading the hair and makeup department on primetime TV shows, films, commercials and music videos for some of the world’s biggest musicians. She has designed hair and makeup for immersive theatre events such as the Stranger Things Drive-Into experience in Los Angeles, and the Sherlock Holmes: The Game’s Afoot immersive theatre experience at Madame Tussauds in London. As a self-proclaimed film nerd, and having trained in film & TV production for 2 years prior to makeup, Emma feel lucky I get to work in the industry that has excited her more than any other. She is originally from London, UK and a member of the prestigious BAFTA crew, but the next and most recent phase of her journey has brought her to live and work in Los Angeles.

Michael Towe

SOUND

Michael is a San Diego editor and filmmaker who has been in the business for over 20 years. He has won multiple Emmy Awards in the categories of producing, writing and editing. In his former life, Michael was dump truck driver, and drummer/lead singer for a swing band. He has been married to his high school sweetheart for 34 years.

Kathleen Maule Holen is happy to have shared her original script for adaptation to the screen. Inspired by the holiday season, she wrote the play as a gift to the community of Hot Springs, SD and it was performed there by Southern Hills Community Theatre-Second Stage. Kathleen is an
award-winning playwright and member of the Dramatists Guild of America. She has been involved in community theatre as an actor, director and writer and collaborated on the screenplay and production of the film The Ruby Red Slippers. Her published plays include Detective Weston’s Last Case; The First Step; Woodstock Reunion; A Chicken Fried Murder; Three Cats for Christmas; and Broom, Book & Cackle.
